Housed in a 46mm bronze/titanium ‘officer’ case the charming, large and lavishly finished monopusher chronograph movement MB M16.29 shows essentially the best what traditional watchmaking has to offer. The design is conclusive with a direct adaptation of an early 20th century military chronograph, down to fine details on (bi-compax) dial, the cathedral hands and the ‘onion’-styled crown with integrated chronograph pusher.

While the dial uses a vintage ‘Montblanc’ logo, the brand clearly communicates the reference to Minerva: with their arrow logo at 6 o’clock, but also on the reset elver of the movement - this is a ‘Minerva’.

For us at ‘the eclecticum’ quite a convincing watch (although there are a few details we would love to be improved, such as the buckle, for example). Promising for Montblanc’s future under its new director Laurent Lecamp...

´Today is Perpetual Day`: The Greubel Forsey ´QP ´Today is Perpetual Day`: The Greubel Forsey ´QP à Équation` is a perpetual calendar with an equation of time and is not just a “simple” perpetual calendar. This is not a surprise if you are familiar with the brand. At the heart lies the seventh invention, the Mechanical Computer, an entirely integrated 25-part component that brings a totally new interpretation to some of the calendar functions incorporated in age-old astronomical clocks. It is composed of a set of coding wheels superimposed in a coaxial manner, along with removeable fingers … (please check the official page for more details)

Journe) with instantaneous jump is aesthetically different from all existing perpetual calendar watches. The idea was to make the dial uncluttered and with perfect legibility. On top it´s not difficult to adjust, which is not always the case when we think about perpetual calendars.
